To keep employees safe from complications induced by seasonal flu and to keep the virus from transmitting among staff, affecting their work and health, FENC sites in Taiwan launched the flu vaccination campaign in the fourth quarter of 2022. FENC arranged for local health offices and hospitals to provide flu vaccines on site, saving employees the trouble of making a hospital visit. Hsinpu Chemical Fiber Plant provided full subsidy for foreign nationals and employees under 50 without the eligibility for state-funded vaccines.

During the 2022 campaign, 862 employees at Hsinpu Chemical Fiber Plant were vaccinated. Among them, 702 were subsidized by the plant (336 Taiwanese and 366 foreign nationals); 160 received state-funded vaccines. Total costs amounted to NT$690,000. The vaccination rate reached 41%.
