Tpark Wins Platinum Award at APIGBA 2025, Receiving Consecutive Honors in Smart Building Excellence

From:Far Eastern Resources Development

Taipei Far Eastern Telecom Park, Tpark, continues to shine on the international stage.
Following its 2024 TIBA Award Platinum recognition in the Operations category, Tpark was nominated by the Taiwan Intelligent Building Association (TIBA) to represent Taiwan at the regional competition. At the 5th Asia Pacific Intelligent Green Building Alliance (APIGBA) Awards 2025, Tpark once again distinguished itself, earning the highest honor- Platinum Award. (Photo Credit: FERD)

This achievement acknowledges Tpark’s outstanding performance in intelligent operations, sustainable development, and innovative applications, further solidifying its position as a benchmark for intelligent and green campuses in Taiwan and across Asia. Since 2023, Far Eastern Resource Development Company (FERD), the developer behind Tpark, has received multiple top-tier recognitions, including the Gold Award at the “Smart Living Space Design Competition” organized by the Architecture and Building Research Institute, Ministry of the Interior. Winning the highest awards for three consecutive years, FERD showcased its technical expertise and management innovation, achieving a truly integrated model of intelligent, low-carbon, and sustainable campus operations.

This year, 21 projects across seven countries and regions participated in the APIGBA Award which were divided into four categories: Systems, Renovation, Design, and Operation, with three levels of recognition- Platinum, Gold, and Silver. The award ceremony and forum brought together hundreds of experts, academics, and industry leaders from the Asia-Pacific region, who gathered to exchange insights on development, innovation, and sustainability trends of smart green buildings.

Intelligent × Sustainable — Building a Smarter, Greener Future City

Tpark is a 24-hectare industrial campus invested by the Far Eastern Group. Since its initial planning in 2003, the park has been built upon the vision of sustainability, continuously advancing smart technologies and sustainable governance. As the management scope expanded from one single building to multi-buildings with extensive outdoor spaces, Tpark proactively developed three core smart applications to enhance management efficiency and precision: (Image Credit: FERD)

1.    LOD 500 BIM Model (Building Information Modeling):

Tpark introduced a top-level LOD 500 BIM model, visualizing both buildings and outdoor facilities while reconstructing underground pipelines. This high-precision digital model enhances engineering management and preventive maintenance, providing a solid foundation for future facility expansion. To ensure quality and accuracy, FERD management team has Taiwan’s first and only ISO 19650 BIM Asset Certified Professional Manager to oversee and optimize the processes.

2.    Digital Property Management System (DPMS):

As management scope and complexity grew, the need for system integration increased. The DPMS was developed to connect multiple modules and systems—including BIM, Building Automation (BA), Facility Management (FM), Finance, Inventory, Safety, and Carbon Management into one cohesive platform. From suppliers, tenants to facility managers and the operations team, all users communicate and collaborate within one platform, improving operational efficiency and reducing data discrepancies.

3.    Carbon Management Platform (T-Carbon):

Tpark’s T-Carbon platform enables real-time monitoring of campus-wide energy use and carbon emissions. Through data integration and visualization, management teams can accurately monitor performance, while tenants can access the platform to view their own emission data and work together on reduction initiatives. The platform also implements AI to predict future carbon emissions and support carbon reduction strategies.

A New Milestone in Smart Operations and Sustainability

Ms. Yiin Shu-Fen, Senior Vice President of Far Eastern Resource Development Company, stated:  “This honor is not only a recognition of our years of efforts but also a milestone that marks Tpark’s advancement in smart management and its international recognition. Moving forward, we will continue to challenge boundaries and shape Tpark as a driving force for urban transformation and industrial innovation.”
This award not only demonstrates FERD’s excellence in operational management but also signifies that its achievements in smart management, sustainable development, and innovation have reached an international standard. Its success is expected to inspire other campuses in Taiwan and across Asia to adopt smarter and greener infrastructure and management, driving a more prosperous future for both the industry and the city.
