OPTC is concerned about how water resources are utilized and dedicated to its corporate social responsibility by committing to water recycling and reuse, increasing water recycling rate, and taking part in community campaigns on water resources conservation.

In November 2020, OPTC attended 2020 Caota Sand Dunes Beach Cleanup/Carbon Reduction, Energy and Water Conservation Campaign held by Taoyuan City Government. OPTC staff and their families participated in this event, promoting environmental protection and holding trivial pursuit games with prizes. The campaign introduced the slogan, “Care for the land, clean up the earth.” It is the hope to encourage the participants to take actions and protect the coastal environment. OPTC took the opportunity to share its philosophy on the conservation of coastal habitat and enhance environmental education. 

In 2020, OPTC also helped environmental advocates and academic institutions on the research of algal reef and protect the estuary of Hsinwu River. Meanwhile, OPTC also signed water reclamation contract with Taoyuan North District Water Resources Recovery Center, pledging to support the reuse of water resources. By participating in the various campaigns, OPTC has demonstrated its commitment to protecting water resources.
