In order to manage waste at the source, FEAV installed Smart Scale and barcode management system in 2019. The original waste management practice involves manually weighing and data input. The current system automatically weighs the waste, generates the barcode with the weight indicated, and completes data entry through the barcode reader. Such approach reduces manual labor and time. It also enhances waste classification, making the database more complete for subsequent management and analysis. The system has reduced 1,224 work hours per year for FEAV.
