SDG 3 GOOD HEALTH AND WELL-BEINGSDG 17 PARTNERSHIPS FOR THE GOALS

Far Eastern New Century received the "Friendly Employer Certification for Middle-aged and Elderly Employees" endorsed by SDGs 3 and 17. Upholding the spirit of diversity and inclusion, Far Eastern New Century takes concrete actions to protect and support its employees while maintaining competitiveness. Apart from assisting employees in understanding the company's future direction and jointly discussing and planning career development based on skills and needs, the company considers the physical and mental health of its employees as a significant management issue. It actively promotes a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

We firmly believe that middle-aged and elderly employees possess invaluable knowledge and experience. Leveraging their wealth of experience, Far Eastern New Century rehires retired employees as consultants to assist colleagues in enhancing work efficiency. The company also advocates for intergenerational communication, regularly organizing knowledge-sharing and training courses to realize the concept of cooperation between different generations. In the company's overseas expansion efforts, middle-aged and elderly employees play vital roles. The company further strengthens its family care, health care, and medical insurance initiatives to ensure employees are well taken care of while working abroad.

To assist middle-aged and elderly employees in managing their health, Far Eastern New Century has designed health check-up programs tailored for this demographic, providing health education information and implementing follow-up procedures. Through applications like digital signage and VR factory service platforms, middle-aged and elderly employees are encouraged to easily participate in the digital transformation process. Far Eastern New Century is dedicated to creating a healthy workplace by establishing a health management system that analyzes and compares employees' annual health check-up results, assesses and controls employees' health risks, achieving systematic and continuous health management.

In 2023, Far Eastern New Century was awarded the "First Friendly Employer Certification for Middle-aged and Elderly Employees in Taipei City". This certification covers five major aspects: organizational culture, education and training, work environment and job redesign, recruitment and employment, and innovation. Over three hundred companies participated, with Far Eastern New Century being honored as one of the 76 outstanding certified enterprises.
